The Walk for a Cause Committee

"Last year the committee raised just under £30,000 to help some projects at the hospital and in the community. This year we are hoping to raise at least £50,000 with the aim of helping two hospital appeals and a local school for children with special needs.

People have been extremely generous, not only in monetary value but general support which is very much appreciated and touching. Having worked with the hospital Fund-Raising Manager for eighteen months, it's nice to be able to see the good the team's efforts are making in peoples lives. It should not be the case that we have to raise money for the hospital, however, if our committee and the public's support had not been there in raising such a substantial sum the hospital would not have the equipment that our efforts have enabled it to purchase.

If you would like to become involved in fund-raising please speak to the Charitable Fund office. I know that I have had a great deal of fun fundraising and I will endeavour to do my best to ensure this continues but, our aim will not change, that is to raise money to help others who most need it."
