Accident and Emergency Department Appeal

Accident and Emergency is very much the ‘front door of the hospital’. It is here where many people first come into contact with the Northampton General Hospital.
Over £200,000 is required for the refurbishment which will cover:
- Modernisation and further development of communal waiting areas
- Modernisation of the family room
- Development of a child specific waiting area
- The construction of a staff facility thus meaning that staff will not have to leave the unit to take their breaks
- Purchase of a mobile scanner meaning that the majority of patients will not have to leave the unit to have scans. This will lead to less discomfort and also shorter waiting times for patients.
